Introduction:
As far as service goes, this was one of the most "resort-like" campgrounds we've been to. Their level of maintenance and customer service far exceeded that of most commercial parks we've visited.

Our Site #: 155
Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):
2/5: This very much qualifies as a "parking lot campground." It may be a very nice parking lot, but it is still a parking lot, with rigs parked right next to one another. There are privacy fences between some of the spots, which does help to a degree, but either way, you are right next to your neighbor. The sites are relatively large, but it's not somewhere we'd ever feel like sitting outside.
Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):
3.5/5: The campground is located right off I-10, so it's a very convenient location when coming through Las Cruces. It's within general walking distance of the town of Old Mesilla where there are a couple restaurants and shops. Las Cruces itself is a large city and offers all the necessities. As for other sites you may want to see in the area, it was about an hour away from White Sands National Monument, 45 minutes away from the town of Hatch, and a little over an hour from Truth or Consequences. It's a decent location for exploring all of these places, though in the future, we'd prefer to be closer to Alamogordo and White Sands. This campground is certainly convenient to the highway which was helpful.
Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):
5/5: The site quality itself was very good. The sites are very large, level, with good utility placement. The staff grades the sites before each new guest arrives. Everything is well maintained. The roads within the park are wide, level, and easy to manage.
Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, and staff):
5/5: Customer service was really excellent here and the feature that made this place stand out for us. The office is in a very nice building with large sitting areas, a gift shop, a coffee bar, and a "concierge" area - complete with information on local attractions, discount cards, and maps. If you have a dog, they give you a separate welcome packet complete with rules and requests, a pick-up bag, and a treat for your pet. You can leave your trash bags by the front of your site and they will pick them up and dispose of them for you. There was a nice little pet area for dogs to run around in, and a very nice looking pool/hot tub area. When I inquired about getting propane, they gave me a map, showing me the location of a private dealer nearby, and explained which route to take with the RV. They were just very helpful and it felt like a "nice" place.
Internet Availability Rating (Verizon coverage or campground wifi):
4/5: Wifi worked well. Slower at some points in the day than others, but always available.
Summary:
This campground was a convenient stop for exploring the area around Las Cruces. While we would have preferred to be closer to White Sands, it was a do-able day trip from this campground, as were several other interesting destinations. This place stood out to us because of the level of service offered by the campground. While many RV parks refer to themselves as "resorts," we rarely agree with the label. And while we wouldn't say this place was a resort either, it did offer some really nice features that set it apart from other commercial spots. Everything was well maintained, they offered some nice services, and we had everything we needed. We would certainly stay here again if we found ourselves back in the area.
