Introduction:
This busy campground is all about location. Its perch on a hill just a few blocks from the main pier in Lunenburg makes it a fantastic base for exploring the area.

Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):
1/5: Sucktastic. We basically had no privacy. Our campsite was a pull-in site while our neighbor’s was a back-in site, so our patios were facing each other. We shared a power pole, so we were stepping over their cords while they were stepping over ours. Additionally, the sites were extremely close. Some other sites appeared to have a bit more space, but none of them were good. It’s just not that kind of campground.
Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):
5/5: The location of this campground is spectacular. It took us about 5 minutes to walk from our RV down to the main commercial district, which made it so incredibly convenient. This also made for a very busy and active campground. There was a ton of turnover here with most folks staying only a day or two to check out the town before leaving. Some days the lot was packed and others it was completely deserted.
Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):
2/5: The utility placement was not great. Our power pole was shared with our neighbors so we were all contending with multiple cords, and the sewer cap was at the front of our site placed up on a hill. In addition, the site was unlevel and we had to use a bunch of leveling blocks to get set up. All of which is annoying when you’re paying as much as we were paying for the spot. Again, not all sites were as weird as ours was, but I can only review our site.
Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, and staff):
5/5: Their website is modern and allows visitors to see what types of sites are available and book their chosen site. I had to call to make some changes to our schedule and the customer service was great. Check-in was smooth and the woman who assisted us provided us several great recommendations for what to do while in town.
Internet Availability Rating (Verizon coverage or campground wifi):
5/5: Wifi worked. Woo hoo! Our hotspot also worked well here.
Summary:
This is a very busy campground that doesn’t offer much other than the location. However, the location is as good as it gets. Our site was nice because we parked head in and had a nice view out the windshield (featured image above). Otherwise, it was lousy, with minimal privacy and oddly placed utilities that were difficult to access. But, all that being said, we loved our stay here because it gave us easy, walkable, access to all of the awesome things we wanted to see and do in Lunenburg.
