Privacy Rating (how spacious and private do the sites feel):

3.5/5: Sites here are pretty standard for a commercial campground. We had a reasonable amount of space between us and our neighbors (we lucked out with a corner site), but some spaces felt more private than others. Overall, site spacing was just OK, but the overall feel of the campground was better than expected.

Location Rating (accessibility to points of interest or to major highways):

3.5/5: We wanted a place to hang out for a couple days while driving north through Michigan. This place fit the bill, but there's not a ton right around it. If you have a boat and want easy access to the lake, it is very convenient, and we were about 20 minutes from Bay City where we could get everything else we needed. But, overall, there not a ton to see or do right there.

Site Quality and Big Rig Accessibility Rating (utilities and accessibility of campground hook ups):

3/5: While the campground is small, the roads were reasonably easy to navigate and our site was level. Unfortunately, the water spigots are shared between sites, so we had to run our water line under our RV to get to it. This was fine for our fresh water needs, but we couldn't rinse our black tank because our separate water hose for that process was not long enough to reach. Not the end of the world, but just something to be aware of. If we were to stay again, we'd be sure to request a site with the utilities all on our driver's side.

Technology and Customer Service Rating (online resources, reservations, campground wifi, and staff):

4/5: You have to call for a reservation, but the lady who works there is really friendly and when we wanted to extend our stay, it was no problem. We also appreciated that they sell firewood for the bargain basement price of $5.00 per wheelbarrow - which we've never seen before.

Overall Value Rating (the overall value of the campground; was it overpriced for what it was?):

5/5: The value here was just great. We rarely see $27 per night for FHU sites, and this place was well maintained, green, and quiet. While the sites weren't the biggest we've seen, they also weren't the smallest, and given the overall feel of the place, we were very happy with the price.

Summary:

Overall, we had no complaints about the campground. It was a solid choice for somewhere to stop while making our way up into Michigan and we were happy enough there to extend our stay for a couple days.
